The fall hiring season is almost here! Starting in Mid-August through October jobs start coming into the market. Employers will refocus after the summer and department heads will push for an increase in headcount to take advantage of the remaining budget for the year.
If you’re thinking about interviewing this fall, now’s the time to get ready. ⏰
Below are a few ideas to help you get started….
#1. Does your resume need an overhaul? If so, make sure you highlight at least three reasons that explain why you’re the best candidate for the position. Don’t assume people know what you do. On average, resume readers take about 6 or 7 seconds to evaluate your resume. You need to capture their attention quickly! ✔️
#2. Prepare five talking points that are relevant to the job you’re interested in. If you want to be offered top dollar, you can’t just aim for checking off all the boxes. You need to plan out from the beginning exactly how you want the interview to go. Five talking points will give you enough information for short stories and conversation that highlight your market value. ✔️
Being prepared is the key to any successful job search strategy! 🚀
